  Has Watchtower financial strategy taken a very dark turn?

  as shepherdless pointed out on another thread, the watchtower business model of using free labour to produce and sell books and magazines for profit started to break down when charging for the literature ended in 1990, and has now begun disintegrating completely in the face of the internet and declining donations.

  over this same period there has been a noted increase in hardline rhetoric on disfellowshipping and pushing early baptism.

  might these hardline trends actually be related to their money woes?

  I think you are completely right. These members of the GB are supposed to be business men that give directives for the corporation, they have throw to the curb any moral duty they have toward it's members welfare it seems and are interested only in the financial survival of the corporation. They seem to be in such a financial jam that they have little time to contemplate the hardships they are putting their loyal members through and can only think of how to save the sinking ship WatchTanic.

  To them it is all just numbers and what is best for the corporation and figuring out what to tell their members to keep them pacified and get more assets from. They are purely in that mode of thinking and in denial of very important facts and so they will only get worse and worse the more desperate they become till the whole thing goes up in smoke.

  Wow I didn't realize that just reading and watching videos at their web site without the group dynamics can have such bad effects on people, of course there are some people that will believe anything they read or watch on the internet and this family is one of them. They could all use a good course on critical thinking but it is probably too late now, they probably would just view it as information from the Devil.

  soooo... i think the main strength of this group is having the finances to keep this con game going.

  i'm hoping that the pedophilia cases are draining them dry so we can be rid of this stumbling block from an organizational stand point.

  how is the constant surge of bad news getting out on them effecting the everyday person in this organization?

  They have a lot of money tied up in building projects as they were trying to milk and fleece the flock for what ever they could get from them in free labor. They over stretched themselves in the high hopes that Jehovah would come through some how and make their blunders work out Okay. Can't make any money in printing literature after donation arrangement adopted and have been over spending in this area for a long time which finally lead to a desperate attempt to get all of congregation funds by means of a resolution which they were forced to vote on and comply with the Slave's wishes or else. But sadly even this form of robbery did not dig them out of a hole and so halting of most projects and possible financial ruin due to a meet up with reality in the nightmare stage of wishful thinking.

  Now if we try to comprehend this and the flood of lawsuits that are coming their way I would say that they are in for some really bad financial territory that doesn't have any exit clauses saying bail out here-> I wouldn't doubt that some major figures of this corporation might be even seeing a some prison time which will really make the shit hit the fan for this doom's day cult. Nobody singing their favorite kingdom melody 'Listen, Obey, and Be Blessed' as they haul them off to the federal pen knee deep in scandal.
